New CDT ES-6MOPro Component Set

New from CDT Audio is the ES-6MOPro marine grade component set. The first thing we noticed when we pulled components out, was the new 6MO mid. The basket is of hard plastic, different from any CDT driver in the past. The mounting depth is much shallower then other mids in its class (1.9”), and the cone material is an exotic kevlar/fiberglass mix. We tested them on our trusty Zed amps with around 200 continuous watts going to each side. This is a 2ohm set! We found 60hz on the HPF to be a sweet spot for this amount of power and still get decently loud. We played around with a few enclosures to see how these would perform. We suggest not using them in anything smaller then .30cft. They perform well in open spaces as well. The component set comes with the standard ES equipment such as the DRT26 tweeter and the EX-550i crossover. This set is perfect for installs in offroad vehicles, boats, motorcycles or anything that is exposed to extreme temperature or moisture. All of this comes with the great 10 year ES Gold warrantee, but with how durable this set is we do not think its even necessary!
