Design Goals:
The engineering design goal for ES 62iUS: StageFront “UpStage” Ready System , remove the distracting and low image sound effects from your conventional systems drivers and move your sound onto a seamless sound stage directly in front of you up above the dash.
Highlights:
ES-062i Dual jumpers moved together change the crossover to upstage mode. In the upstage mode the drive to the mid-woofer and Tweeter are tapered off to interface with the upstage Tweeter. This tapering is adjustable with three “L” settings and two “C” settings. This alters the crossover frequency and response shape (damping). The image Tweeter furthermore has seven selectable levels available. Upstage crossover is typically at 8kHz. Main Tweeter crossover is transient optimized at 3.7kHz. No protectors are used.

Woofer: ES-6: These fabulously smooth, keval mixed fiberglass fabric, black coned beauties extract all the music and add no coloration to that sound. They start and stop on a dime for the most lucid recreation of the musical experience. From rap to rock they are on top, and the rendering of serious classical profundities is also exquisite. Utilizing a rubber edge and soft polymer dust-cap these drivers create and absorb vibratory waves with astonishing control.
Crossover: EX-560i This compact “UpStage” ready xover module implements the image enhancing upstage system while holding complexity to an absolute minimum. This versatile crossover module implements the EX-560i two-way crossover with large high quality parts or alternately may be programmed to drive an upstage high-mounted second Tweeter.
Tweeter: DRT-26 Here’s how it works. You change the Tweeter driver from silk to aluminum to titanium, what ever flavor you choose with the quick- connect patented design. Now you have introduced the possibility of choice of taste into your musical life. Each type has slightly different qualities. All are virtuous but there is a different emphasis. The Silk dome is the smoothest. Always gentle and forgiving, this Tweeter emphasizes the music and avoids noise and artifacts that may embed some source material or be characteristic of less than perfect amplifiers.
UpStage Tweeter: The WS-100i is a unique image tweeter, specially designed with a virtually transient perfect ferromagnetic oil-cooled driver, yielding the smoothest, most gently contoured and pleasant sound. The tweeter may be used in any position for imaging improvement in its fitting above the dash.
