The engineering design goal for HD-642: Delivers classic sound in a 3-way format.
Highlights:
The carbon coated compound mix-fabric paper cones offer ideal stiffness and damping. The curvilinear cone shape prevents cone flex and break up. This provides clean mid-bass even at higher levels. The always-critical midrange frequencies are clear and precise with no distortion from "ringing." The midrange driver use real butyl surrounds, not merely a mixed butyl compound. This provides longer, more linear excursion, and a far longer life because it's UV resistant.

Mid woofer: The cone of HD-4 midrange drivers is made of a light, yet rigid, carbon treated paper. Producing unrivaled midrange that is engineered just for your car to make the most perfect blend with any CDT tweeter and crossover.
Tweeter: DTR-25 it’s a 25 mm (1”) silk extended range dome design with a neodymium magnet and ferro fluid filled voice coil gap to give sound and power handling that typically requires a much larger speaker drt-25 technical specs 1” Modular tweeter ferro fluid cooling.
Crossover: EX-30: They have created a compact economical solution to installation of a front-mounted 3-way system for the general market. This crossover module offers interactive crossover to and adjustability of the mid-range and tweeter and a high-tech elliptic filter to crossover the tweeter. New and unprecedented functionality in this unit is highlighted by the superiority of the midrange level setting.
