HD-842 Component Set:
Woofer: The HD-800CF are designed for the smooth jazz listeners who sometimes like to turn the volume up on some heavy rock and metal but still with a feel of smooth tight fast bass response. These engineering masterpieces simultaneously deal with the need to move large amounts of air necessary to overcome the 70+ db. of bass masking road noise in the moving automotive interior, while accurately responding to the delicate changes in the harmonic structure of the music.
Mid woofer: The cone of HD-3 midrange drivers is made of a light, yet rigid, carbon treated paper. Producing unrivaled midrange that is engineered just for your car to make the most perfect blend with any CDT tweeter and crossover.
Tweeter: The HD-2 (silver housing) is a unique mid tweeter that can do jobs nothing else will touch. This driver is more extended and has a special hand coated cone and dust cap for assurance it will reach frequency response up around 20kHz. HD-2 performs better power response (more dispersion at the highest frequencies) than most 25mm dome tweeters. It can, however, reach 150 Hz at the low end although using it this low would be a power-handling problem.
